Our 15th Year Wedding Anniversary..

It was on this day in 2006, 15 years ago that the covenant between Agbaluwas and Akomahs was established by virtue of Marriage. Negotiations and dowry were paid in full on the previous night. Everyone woke up with excitement and a bit of anxiety from my side as it dawned on me that in a few hours I will be escorted to my new home and family.
Β
Maidens was up and ready fetching water from the stream as it is their duty which they are well organized to execute properly, smokes was rising while the mothers are in the kitchen and the men are taking care of the Meat, drinks, and canopy. visitors and friends arriving from far and near, everything went beyond our expectations.
Β
When I count my blessings I count My Matrimonial home twice, we have grown, shapen through thick and thin, through joys and sorrows, through gain and loss, through regrets and hope and we have been tremendously blessed on every side. Our unique journey made and formed us into what anyone can see today, and we are still counting!

Have I ever had any regrets? Oh yes! in our first 5 years trying to adjust I opted out 3 times πŸ˜πŸ™ˆπŸ™„
Β
The first time was on the day of dowry payment, My husband and his family lost their way to my village, for almost 1 hour they were driving in circles until I made my way to the major road to find them. on seeing my husband to be sweating in spite of the airconditioned car, he kept a straight face and didn’t come down with others to greet me, the whole convoy picked up the sub because they all came down from their cars to great me as it is in their custom. when they got to my father’s house they closed the door and asked their son to lie down on the floor and apologize to them for trying to disgrace them with his attitude lol, they set him straight LOL! meanwhile I wasn’t aware of what was going on ,was busy rehearsing in my head of how I am going to announce that I need some time to think through this relationship LOL, after serving his punishment with his family they sent him to apologize to me too.
I hold these aunties in high esteem until tomorrow!πŸ₯°

The second time was about a fried chicken. I have been cautious about my lifestyle right from time. I am not a fan of fried chicken then but I can have a taste from time to time but not consistently. My husband was a big fan then so one day after cooking with boiled chicken, he insisted he want it friedΒ and an argument ensued, fortunately,Β that day my elder sisters Tocs and Adanne were around and they whispered to me” calm down we will fry the chicken, in fact, we will fry a full basket, be patient he will get tired and adjust, everything is not a fight, with time both of you will adjust” they both took over in the kitchen and My husband was so happy that he got some allies around, from my side I was threatening that I was going home LOL.
Best sisters ever 😍🀩! today my husband is in forefront of healthy living and lifestyle!

The third one, wait o it looks like I even have a fourth one 🀣🀣🀣🀣
This was after My husband complained very bitterly that he promised himself to be getting a dose of sweetness every morning before going to work but alas each morning if sweetness was not served he will blame everything that didn’t go well that day to be lack of sweetness 🀣.ahhhhh I called Chika, my immediate elder sister to inquire if this is a tale of all married wives, yes my bragging rights before getting married at this time were in shredsπŸ˜ͺ , I just need to go home!
what is life without these doses of sweetness πŸ˜‹? Thank you Igwe for maintaining the same energy!
